FounderBorn in Japan and now based in New York, Miwako Urasugi brings over two decades of international experience spanning Tokyo, London, and the United States. Her work has been featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and other leading publications.
Trained at Vidal Sassoon and grounded in the precision of Japanese craftsmanship, Miwako’s approach is defined by exceptional quality, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep sense of calm and care.
At Borderless Hair: A Medium, she offers more than a traditional salon experience. The space is designed as a place to slow down, reconnect, and feel renewed—where personalized hair services and buckwheat-infused spa rituals work together to restore balance and enhance each client’s natural beauty.
Her intention is simple: to help every client feel restored, confident, and beautifully themselves.

She began her training in Japan studying Balinese massage and Shiatsu, then deepened her practice through intensive apprenticeship with a master in Bali, specializing in Balinese massage and facial techniques. After gaining hands-on experience in Niseko and Osaka, she relocated to New York in 2013 and has since built over eight years of experience as an esthetician.
In New York, she continued her education through Ohashiatsu, the Tomita Method, and the Five Lights Center, while incorporating techniques such as Sato Method lymphatic care. Drawing from these diverse disciplines, she has developed a holistic approach focused on restoring balance between body and mind.

Trained in Japan in eyelash extensions and permanent makeup, she later moved to New York to build an international career in the lash industry. After discovering volume lash artistry, she developed a deep focus on structure, precision, and refined technique.
Her work has been recognized at international competitions, leading to roles in education and judging within the global lash community. As the Founder of Lashink Studio, she creates highly customized designs that enhance natural beauty with balance, intention, and longevity—guided by a belief in timeless craftsmanship over trends.
